The Forgotten Man
By Robert Crais
Detective
Read from 2/16/06 - 2/18/06
My grade: 10
This one is probably only interesting to me. I am in love with this series of detective novels from Robert Crais. I've been reading them since high school, and I could barely stand waiting for this new one to come out in paperback. The books have been getting darker recently, and Cole (the detective) keeps getting more and more serious injuries. I love these books for many reasons - mainly Cole's sidekick, Joe Pike, who might shoot you in the face for calling him a sidekick. Their partnership is usually the best part of each book, and that was exactly the case here. Also, in the last book I thought Cole's girlfriend, Lucy, was finally gone, but she makes a very unwelcome reappearance here. I hate Lucy.
Anyway, LA noir.
